2nd Line Network Support Engineer

TalkTalk is looking for 2nd Line Network Support Engineers to join our expending Network Operations Team in Skopje, Macedonia.
Reporting to: Escalation Manager
Main purpose of the role:
· Managing change request and complex incident cases
· Day-to-day operational support of network infrastructure and services provided to Virtual1 partners
· Be a technical escalation point for the 1st Line team
· Responsible for meeting SLAs on all assigned cases
Key tasks and accountabilities:
· Ensure all change requests are progressed efficiently and correctly
· Configure, administer and maintain network switches, routers and firewalls
· Aid the 1st line team with queries and issues requiring senior involvement
· Ensure KPIs and SLAs on all assigned workload is met
· Plan and train the 1st line team
· Develop accurate process documentation
Essential Criteria:
· Self-motivated; good time-keeping and customer-value work ethic.
· Strong analytical skills: gathers evidence, investigates solutions, considers implications for the business, goal-orientated
· Takes pride in achieving best mutual outcome for Partner and Virtual1
· Good communication skills, both written and verbal
· Strong background in Telecommunication environment
· Confident in the levels of the OSI model and how it relates to fault finding.
· Solid knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP protocols, IP Addressing (DHCP, NAT, etc…), MPLS, VPN, VLANs, BGP and Redundancy protocols
· JNCIA/CCNA certified
Desirable Criteria
· Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with an IT focus is preferred or equivalent by experience
· Demonstrable experience with Juniper EX/SRX/MX
· JNCIS/CCNP certified
Travel Requirements: Travel within the UK may be required on occasion.
