Role Overview
A technical writer uses technical knowledge to create instructional and technical manuals, assessments, and training guides about the product. A technical writer is also responsible for organizing content into a document to be easily understood by all stakeholders, producing accurate, concise, useful, clear, and complete technical documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop high level product knowledge; Understand product features in-depth, so that be able to present them properly in technical documentation;
• Gather and analyze technical and product information from various sources to document new or changing product functionality;
• Interview the team members to become familiar with the technologies, products, and processes that will be documented;
• Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents: how-tos, tutorials, in-depth user guides, FAQs, technical overviews, in-product help documentation, knowledge base content;
• Write software documentation from technical specifications, discussions with developers, and hands-on experimentation;
• Write, format, edit, review, and proof procedural and technical information for technical and nontechnical users;
• Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking documentation work to meet product release dates and client deliverables;
• Combine text with supporting visual elements in order to present complex information in a manner that can be easily understood by the target audience;
• Define documentation standards;
• Complete writing assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology;
• Related duties as assigned.

Job requirements

Working Experience:

• 1+ Experience in writing/copywriting;
• Experience creating infographics such as diagrams, screenshots, workflows, graphs, etc.

Standard Qualifications:

• Excellent, clear, clean, accessible writing; obsessive eye for consistency and technical accuracy.
• Strong technical editing skills;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Editing and proofreading skills;
• Advanced level of English Language.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experiencing with coding languages;
• Experience working with the following tools preferred: Confluence/JIRA;
• SaaS experience is preferred.

• Strong organizational skills;
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, including willingness and ability to consult with subject matter experts from engineering, support, and product management;
• A keen eye for investigating any irregularities; covet accuracy, precision, and research of detail;
• Ability to efficiently and thoroughly address feedback on published content from both customers and internal support representatives.
• Attention to detail with a creative eye;
• Ability to manage multiple writing assignments simultaneously.
