Intermediate Full-stack developer (PHP+React.js)

PeopleWeek is a Human Resources and Collaboration Software Company based in Switzerland. Our product, the PeopleWeek patform, combines all the features of a corporate intranet, a digital collaboration workplace and HR tools across the employee lifecycle.

JOB PURPOSE:
The PeopleWeek platform, consists of many customizable modules that enable our clients to pick and choose what fits their need the best. As an Intermediate Full-stack developer, you will help design, build, improve and maintain these modules. POSITION SUMMARY:
As a full stack developer your responsibilities will include:
– Improving existing functionality and documenting the changes
– Designing, specifying, developing and documenting new functionality
– End-to-end ownership of specific modules and components
– Fixing bugs
– Estimating tasks and workloads
– Creating and maintaining technical documentation
– Working independently
– Collaborating with and helping team-mates

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
We want to hire developers that are passionate about the quality of their code and the user experience. We are a close-knit and entrepreneurial team so we also want to hear from people that are strong team players and creative problem-solvers.

In terms of technical skills we require:
– PHP (2+ years)
– JavaScript (2+ years)
– React.js (1+ years)
– Building APIs
– GIT
– Conversational English

Other skills that are not required but would be appreciated include:
– Using Linux and or Docker containers as a development environment
– Symfony / Laravel Framework experience
– MongoDB experience
– Writing automated tests
