Headquartered in Brighton, Sopro provides sophisticated digital marketing services to hundreds of businesses, from global brands to sector leaders and new entrants too. As well as a core business we also run an incubator where we build exceptional collaboration with our group companies.
We are looking to expand our in-house Tech Team in Skopje with an experienced WordPress Developer.
The ideal candidate must have experience creating WordPress themes and plugins, ideally a combination of programming skills (PHP, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript) and interest in developing skills and experience to the next level in a globally focused technical environment.
The professional profile should include project management, organisation, client communication, thought leadership and expertise in web development & interface design.
All work will be in English language, we are looking for candidates with exceptional written English.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creating and developing new websites or maintain existing ones
- Translate designs, mockups and functionalities into responsive themes and guide the whole process.
- Build and maintain web site architecture.
- Optimize web site load-time, SEO, interactive performance and availability while managing all technical aspects of the CMS
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
- Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery (React would be considered as a plus)
- Experience designing, implementing and developing responsive design websites from scratch.
- Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
- Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications.
- Experience in Custom Post Types / Taxonomies, Advanced Custom Fields and WP Queries.
- Ability to configure and also produce advanced plugins and themes.
- Understanding of MySQL, syntax, queries and database management
- Comfortable with version control (GIT)
- Experience (knowledge) in WooCommerce would be considered as a plus
