SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER (BACKEND/PHP)

We are currently looking a Senior Software Engineer (Backend/PHP)  to join us.

The client

Our client has been developing a SaaS product since 2014, consisting of a web application and a hybrid app, which focuses on facility management and cleaning. They are now a major player in the Dutch market and many great customers such as AMC, Center Parcs, Landal, Van der Valk and Vebego use our product and we are expanding in other European countries (Belgium, France, Germany).  They believe that the software should be more than a service because their applications are used every minute of the day. Our client is fully integrated into the lives and work of the people who are using it. Giving value to customers and partners supporting them in their mission and achieving their vision while  get ahead of the trends and recognize significant efficiencies and cost savings.

Experience & tech skills

At least 5+ of extensive experience in working with or Symfony
Experience with code-design according to SOLID principles
Good knowledge of architectural patterns and design patterns
Experience writing automated tests (Acceptance/Unit/Integration/System)
Experience with researching and refactoring legacy code
Bonus points:

Experience with Docker (and Docker-Compose)
Microservices architecture
Domain Driven Design (DDD)
About the role and you:

You are an experienced and driven software engineer able to come up with qualitative and maintainable solutions complying with generally accepted best practices which are verified by automated tests. You do this in part by using design patterns and SOLID principles
Actively developing new features and modules focusing on complex tasks
Able to transfer knowledge and proactively take action to raise the level of the team
Able to extract/refine a domain problem to its core and to detect and mitigate project risks and dependencies up-front
Proactively looking for ways to improve the software in multiple aspects like architecture, security, performance, code-design etc.
Education

Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) of Informatics and computer engineering or similar is considered as a plus

Foreign languages

You will also work directly with our client, so fluent English is required.

Minimum B1 (Intermediate)
