Network Engineer (Implementation Engineer)
Our Client is looking for someone that will be working as part of the Engineering Implementation ( EI ) team to ensure the Virtual1 Provisioning team is supported by way of all required technical implementation work. The candidate will manage and implement change requests from Partners to meet the SLA commitments.
Core Tasks
► CPE/Core configuration, port configuration, IP address assignment and similar activity allocated from the Provisioning Team as tasks within Sales Force
► Working on more complicated MPLS projects
► Maintain stock levels of necessary cables and components to complete the above work.
► Complete all detail (ports, IP addressing, port numbers etc.) relating to services that have be built, amended or ceased by the EI team
► Ensure all tasks are scheduled effectively and communicated to the assigner.
Additional Responsibilities
► Ensure all related record-keeping is maintained to a high level of accuracy and in a timely fashion
► Produce Visio diagrams and Wiki material to ensure effective communication of non-standard implementations
►Other work as assigned by the Chief Technical Officer from time to time

► A Support team able to work from documentation and material produced by EI without the need for unnecessary consultation
► A well-documented library of network resources
► Well documented solutions
► Open tasks count kept to a minimum
►Case queue level according to the Sales Force dashboard
Requirements
► Self-motivated; good time-keeping and customer-value work ethic.
► Working knowledge of Wide-Area networking technologies, topologies and routing protocols
► Strong analytical and trouble-shooting skills; gathers evidence, investigates solutions, considers implications for the business, goal-orientated
► Takes pride in achieving best mutual outcome for Partner and Virtual1
► Builds long-term relationships both internally and externally across different cultures
► Establish creditability with Customers and Partners using appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods
► Good communication skills, both written and verbal
► Strong background in Telecommunication environment
► Able to demonstrate knowledge of networking topologies and routing protocols
► Confident in the levels of the OSI model and how it relates to MPLS and VPLS
► Good organisational skills
