Responsibilities

Installation, configuration and operational management of DBMS
Monitoring DB performance and managing parameters to maintain level of DB systems responses
Installing and testing new versions of the DBMS
Controlling access permissions and privileges
Ensuring that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly;
Ensuring availability of resources by proactively informing about resource usage trends
Working closely with IT project managers, Application developers
Communicating regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security
Troubleshooting issues and problems experienced with performance of application execution and in case of severe outages
Responding to assigned Service Desk Request associated with database problems, standard operational services and incidents

Qualifications

At least 2 years of working experience in Database Administration role with one or more of the following technologies – MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL or similar Relational Database Management Systems                                            Basic knowledge of query troubleshooting and query execution optimization
Knowledge of operational DBMS management (install, configure, user management, backup/restore, monitor)
Hands on experience with DBMS on Linux/Unix operating systems

Desirable Skills

Basic knowledge of data modeling and database design practices
Performance monitoring and optimization
T-SQL proficiency and basic Linux shall scripting
Well spoken and written English (intermediate B1/B2 CEFR level)
Willingness to work in dynamic organization with fast growing pace
Ability to learn fast and switch different technology landscape
Follow current and future trends in data management and data analytics
