System Administrator

NEBIZ IT DOOEL  is a software development company specialized in delivering high-quality E-commerce solutions for companies located in Germany and Switzerland. Headquartered in Germany, with an office in Macedonia, we are looking for a System administrator to join our team.

As a systems administrator, you are handed responsibility of our server infrastructure.

The System Administrator (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. Aside of maintaining our E-Commerce infrastructure, you will be researching and developing best-practices to enable continuing innovation for the benefit of our customers.

• You will assist project teams with technical issues in the Initiation and Planning phases of our standard Project Management Methodology. Participation on projects is focused on smoothing the transition of projects from development stage to production by performing operations activities within the project life-cycle. ‘
• You will automate systems administration tasks, mainly using Python (alternatively Shell) scripts.
• You will in addition write and maintain systems-documentation for users (developers) and future systems-admins.

You will mainly be working on Debian/GNU Linux, running Python and PHP application environments.

Technologies you must be fluent with:

• GNU/Debain Linux
• NGINX Web server
• MySQL
• PostgreSQL
• Python application environment
• PHP application frameworks

Requirements:

•  1-2 years system administration experience, preferably with a related university degree
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills to explain problems & solutions.
• Appreciation for the world of business.
• Authoritative personality to command teams.
• Ambitious learner

You should be fluent in routine activities such as:

• Setting SPF records on DNS-Servers
• Thoroughly managing NGINX-Servers with 99.9999% uptime
• Logging Application-Services, including Webshops and ERP-Systems
