The Massive Interactive team is filled with passionate and committed specialists who are redefining how users consume video content around the world.

You are a passionate Architect or Lead Engineer who has a love for technology, engineering and people and have experience with:

• Managing technical risk; understanding and articulating the impact of your design decisions
• Microservice architectures and design principals
• OOP / TDD / DDD design patterns
• Experience of one or more of; NodeJS, .NET 4.0 (WCF), Java
• Be able to design solutions that transcend the implementation technology
• Good knowledge of Amazon Web Services, including EC2, ECS, CloudFront, CloudWatch, R53
• In depth understanding of the internet foundations; HTTP/HTTPS, DNS

Other technologies we use on a day to day basis, where experience would be useful:

• Bash / Powershell scripting
• MongoDB / DynamoDB / Redis
• Linux / Windows Server
• JIRA / Confluence / GitHub / Bitbucket

CATCH OUR ATTENTION WITH:

• Knowledge of API first design using frameworks like the OpenAPI Specification or Swagger
• Experience deploying scalable applications to AWS, Azure etc.
• A passion for learning the latest technologies and standards
• Experience with standard GIT workflows and peer review processes
• Expertise in provide guidance to improve a team’s code quality by example, training and code review, helping to up skill team members
• A hands-on and mindful approach complex challenges
• Architecting high performance and complex web applications

Additional accountabilities:

• Ownership of and responsibility for Software Engineering Architecture
• Promotion and enforcement of Software Engineering Architectural best practices
• Regular Software Architecture knowledge sharing sessions with the Software Engineering team
• Collaboration with Software Engineering and Project Managers, ensuring fit for purpose solution design, architectural approach and iteration and release plans
• Promotion and enforcement of Software Engineering best practices and standards
• Involvement in the evolution of core our Software Technologies and Products alongside fellow Engineers
