Senior Linux Engineer

We are looking for IT enthusiasts to join our team as Senior Linux Engineer.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Installation and support of Linux Operating Systems (Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS etc.) Provide day-to-day service operations of all Linux services, that include: accounts management, file backup and restoration coordination, and system monitoring and diagnostics
• Work incident tickets and fulfil requests for our external and internal production environments.
• Implement and monitor the Enterprise Linux Servers disaster recovery and continuity of operations plans.
• Build and deploy Server images as required from standard templates.
• Provide written test plans and results for approval prior to implementation
• Perform expansion or consolidation of the servers
• Distribute all Linux updates via automated software deployment tools to the all standard desktops
• Configure and deploy new servers using VMWare

• Strong IT operations and engineering background
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team
• Highly organized with a proven ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, manage several complex projects at one time, and utilize time effectively for staff and self.
• Ability to Multi-Task and be resourceful
• Team Player with strong communication skills
• Ability to communicate to all level of the business
• Proficiency in English

Skills:

• Skills in Linux operating systems (Debian and RPM based)
• Virtualization experience including VMWare, VSphere, or VCenter.
• Knowledge of network monitoring and tools
• Good knowledge of networking, routing, VPNs (IPSec, OpenVPN, PPTP protocols)
• Skill in software installation and maintenance
• Good knowledge of webservers (Apache, Nginx, Tomcat)
• Basic knowledge of database servers (MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB)
• Experience with backup client/server software
• Required to have experience with cluster software
• Advanced scripting skills
• Competent with mainstream office automation, project management, and communications tools.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Jenkins
