An ideal candidate:
You should have 3+ years of experience in web development which should result in:
Outstanding knowledge of PHP
Solid MVC and Object Oriented Programming experience
Decent SQL knowledge — particularly with MySQL
Solid understanding of JavaScript
Familiarity with TDD
Git and peer review experience
Comfortably working with Linux/CLI
Comfortable with everyday communication in English
Curious and always willing to improve your skills (especially in following areas):
JavaScript
TDD & BDD
Scalability of PHP applications
Constant pursuit for professional development

 
What will you do?
We believe in small teams. Small teams mean less bureaucracy and less management and more getting things done! We work with some of today’s best: technology leaders – Arduino, socially aware – SmartyPants Vitamins, regional leaders – BilXtra. As a back-end developer you will be involved in development, testing and integration of advanced eCommerce solutions.

You’ll have an opportunity to work on stores that have couple hundred thousands products and couple millions visits yearly, stores that demand remarkable and well thought out architecture. You will, also, participate in the implementation and development of our own tools and modules for improving the workflow and quality of the solutions we provide. Development is based on Vagrant, Apache, MySQL, PHP (Magento) and various JavaScript frameworks, Ruby on Rails while the quality and deployment are maintained with automated testing via continuous integration servers.

This is a remote position (work from home). It is planned to be a part-time (20 hours/per week) in the first  3 months and to transfer into full-time after that period.
