- The Core Testing team – Independent Testing Team that delivers different range of testing services and applies adaptive testing processes on existing or new applications developed by third parties owned by Beazley. We practice adaptive SDLC, that could be Planned Iterative or Agile, depending on the project, the team and the working process.
- Development team – develop and test applications required by Beazley. The SDLC model is iDesign: http://www.idesign.net/
- Application Management team –Maintain the existing Beazley applications and platforms.
Role Description
Job responsibilities
- Understand the scope of testing within the context of each release/delivery
- Perform document analysis to identify possible non conformities between requirements and software (including technical documentation);
- Analyze requirements and specifications to determine test scenarios and test cases;
- Design, document and execute test scenarios and test cases according to the test strategy;
- Troubleshoot problems and narrow down problem areas;
- Work closely with the development team to ensure the quality of the products;
- Maintain testing documentation;
- Play a part in building the Delivery Units’ testing capability & contribute towards the Endava organizations best practices for testing
Mandatory skills
- Good knowledge of the software testing lifecycle
- Active experience in Functional Testing
- Experience testing Web based applications
- Good understanding of test tools (including Defect Management), techniques & life cycles
- Good understanding test techniques
- Experience with SQL Server and relational database systems
- Passionate, enthusiastic with a deep interest in testing
- Able to work in an ad-hoc/dynamic and fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines
- Able to understand business processes well
- Advanced in written and spoken English communication
Desirable skills
- Insurance domain knowledge
- ISTQB Certifications preferable
- Familiar with Agile methodologies
- A fast learner, a problem solver, motivated and dependable, with initiative, able to take on responsibility, a team player
- Organized and have strong analytical skills
