We are currently looking to expand our team with a System engineer who will support a reliable and effective use of IT resources by both internal employees and external customers. We are looking for someone that is proactive, curious by design – eager to learn new tools and advance their skills, and a great team player.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure security and efficiency of IT infrastructure through access controls, backups, and firewalls
- Manage and monitor company’s digital assets
- Monitor system performance and maintain systems according to requirements
- Manage network servers and networking technologies
- Identifying bottlenecks in engineering workflows
- Upgrade systems with new releases
- Install and configure software, hardware, and networks
- Set up accounts and workstations
- Ensure smooth running of IT systems by following industry’s best practices
- Day-to-day troubleshooting and improving technical processes
This position requires competence in the following:
- System administration, server configuration and support
- Microsoft Windows, Windows Server, IIS
- Powershell, batch, and bash scripting
- Setting up and configuring database management systems
- Active Directory
- Linux basics
- Network configuration and support
- Switching and routing basics, VPN solutions basics
- Network security basics (experience with Sonicwall devices will be considered a plus)
- Microsoft Azure basics knowledge will be considered a plus
